Autumn in Dorset

03/10/2018

Well it’s October already, where has the year gone. Luckily the weather is still holding on and there are a few more weeks left to book a caravan holiday in Dorset.

What is there to do in Autumn here in Dorset?

October is a perfect time to go walking, crunching through fallen leaves and admiring the changing colours of the season.

Dorset has so many wonderful places to go walking whether it is the coastline or the countryside. Some of the most popular walking routes can be found at www.nationaltrust.org.uk

Abbotsbury Gardens, always a lovely day out becomes a beautiful and enchanted place to visit in the evenings from October 18th when a large section of the gardens are lit with a wonderful array of colour.

Also during October the Abbotsbury Gardens hold 4 family Fright Nights.

Free face painting, fancy dress encouraged.  Creepy Crawly show each evening, Scary Scar Surgery, Spooky dancers and lots more.

For the younger members of the family,

The Gruffalo will be the star attraction at Adventure Wonderland during October half-term. Everyone's favourite monster will join in the fang-tastic celebration of Halloween, always a not-to-be missed week of fun at the park.

And of course as at any other time of the year there are plenty of Teas shops, Restaurants and Country Inns to visit. Many serving locally sourced and produced food and drink
