Gorselands House stands in its own secluded grounds, is divided into three tastefully furnished self-contained apartments. Situated in the picturesque "Valley of the Bride" about 100 feet above sea level, it has wonderful views of the sea. There is ample car parking space and a large garden. Each apartment has its own entrance, night-storage heating and freesat t.v. There is also a WiFi hotspot area on the caravan park.
Apartment 1 on the ground floor sleeps up to 4 with one double bedroom plus large lounge with double bed settee. Good sea view. The bathroom has a bath plus shower cubicle. Separate w.c.
Apartment 2 on the first floor sleeps up to 4 with one double bedroom and one twin room.(Access is via 3 steps up from the lounge)The double room has an en-suite shower. Magnificent sea views. Bathroom with bath and w.c.(access again via 3 steps up from the lounge).
Apartment 3. This garden apartment sleeps 2 persons and comprises richly furnished lounge with double bed-settee, television and video, shower room and toilet, and all electric kitchen.
This apartment was refurbished in 2008 and is now a no pet accomodation
Bramdon Lane, Portesham, Near Weymouth
Sleepers is a country cottage situated in the charming village of Portesham on the coast road between Weymouth and Bridport. It is a house of great interest, formerly the village railway station, which has been modernised into a most unusual home. It stands in its own grounds amid beautiful Hardy country with views all round. The sea at Chesil Beach is about three miles away, and you can park right on the beach where there is excellent sea fishing. Weymouth with its golden sands and interesting harbour is fifteen minutes away by car, as is Dorchester, the "Casterbridge" of Hardy's novels. Bridport and West Bay are about twenty minutes away by road.
The accommodation which sleeps 4 comprises one double bedroom, one twin-bedded room, lounge, kitchen, bathroom and sun lounge. The property is tastefully furnished with fitted carpets and night storage heating. The lounge has an open fireplace, colour TV with Freesat, video and DVD. The kitchen has as electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There is a nice enclosed garden and ample parking.
